Club VR4 Terms & Conditions
Please note that messages posted on our forum express only the views of the author of the message and does not necessarily reflect the views of Club VR4.
Members of the Club VR4 Committee have the ability to edit and/or remove messages which they believe to be unacceptable to either themselves or other users of this forum. However, it is impossible for the Committee to monitor every message. Therefore, you agree that neither Club VR4, nor any person or entity associated with them, will be held responsible for the content, accuracy, completeness or validity of any information posted (including the library) .
Any user who believes that a posted message is not acceptable should contact us immediately by using the ‘Report Bad Post’ button on the post in question. Upon receipt of such notification, we will make every effort to take whatever action is necessary as soon as is practically possible. However, as this is a manual process, you should be aware that we may not be able to remove or edit reported messages immediately.
The Club VR4 Committee reserves the right to edit, lock or delete any message for any reason whatsoever, at our discretion. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your messages and that you will indemnify and hold harmless Club VR4 with respect to any claim based upon the appearance and/or transmission of your message(s).
Any user may edit their posts for a period of 40 days. After this time the post will be automatically locked and it's content become the property of ClubVR4. Any user may subsequently request the Committee to remove part or all of a specified post, but this is wholly at the discretion of the Committee who will look at such requests sympathetically.
You agree that you will follow the basic principles of forum etiquette as summarised below:
• One should always be courteous, and treat others as you would wish to be treated.
• Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists.
• Contributors should follow standard grammar and spelling rules and avoid slang.
• One should strive to post in the correct forum/category.
• When making a technical inquiry, one should include as much technical information as possible, especially in the subject line.
• Contributors are asked to stay on-topic.
• To avoid appearing self-absorbed, one should respond to topics started by others more often than starting topics of their own.
• Contributors should avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. All CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues.
• One is advised not to resurrect a very old topic if nothing significant will be added. This practice is known as revival or Necroing.
• One should try to refrain from lashing back at a poorly behaving member or participating in a flame war; instead, notify a committee member of the event.
• When quoting a previous post, one should only include the relevant portion of that post.
You agree that you will not use our forum to post any material, or links to any material, which is abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or that would otherwise violate any law. Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate on this forum.
You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright holder, unless such copyright is owned by you, this forum or the Club VR4 website.
Club VR4 operates a “Warning System” on it’s forum. Our warning system exists purely to help the moderators keep track when users break forum rules. A minor misdemeanor will result in a one warning point. A severe one will result in more - maximum 3. When you accrue 10 points or 5 warnings (whichever comes first), your account will be suspended for 10 days. Further suspensions will extend the length of the suspension, and after 3 you will be banned permanantly from Club VR4. Only the moderators can see your warnings, and they expire after 365 days.
The warnings are issued in one of 5 categories: abuse of fellow forum users, breach of copyright, bringing Club VR4 into disrepute, other breaches of terms and conditions and finally an instant suspension for gross offences.
Anyone issued a warning has the right to appeal. This should be done by sending a Private Message to any committee member within 7 days of the warning being issued, and must include a full explanation as to why you feel the warning should be reviewed. The Committee will then review the appeal, and the decision made will be a final decision and cannot be appealed a second time.
Club VR4 reserve the right to ban anyone who repeatedly posts unacceptable material. Additionally, Club VR4, at its own discretion, may bar registration from any specific email service or ISP.
Club VR4 may share your personal details within the club committee for the purpose of distributing club information or goods. Club VR4 will not divulge your personal information to any third party outside of the Club VR4 Committee except in the event of any complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. In these circumstances Club VR4 reserves the right to reveal your identity and any other information we may know about you.
Club VR4 reserves the right to use any technical information and photographs posted onto the website by you, either in the forum, garage or gallery, for any Club VR4 purpose, including advertising, merchandise, avatars etc.
To assist in the running costs of the website, ClubVR4 introduced full Club Membership, for which a fee is payable. Please note that this fee could be subject to change without notice.
Subscribing to full Club Membership brings additional benefits over and above access to the public forums, such as receipt of a Membership Pack, access to the "Members Area" of the forum, product & services discounts negotiated with third parties, preferential rates for Club events and priority stand places at our many meets across the country throughout the year.
However, Club VR4 welcomes all Galant and Legnum enthusiasts and understands that not everyone would benefit from full Club Membership.
Therefore, any posts by Registered Users will not be moved to the Members Area unless they contain information which is a direct benefit of full Club Membership, such as discounts that have been negotiated for full members.
Any technical information posted in the public forums can and may be copied to the Members Area for ease of searching, but the original thread will remain in its original posted location.
Any queries regarding Membership must be posted in the appropriate section of the forum, or they may not receive a response.
