Hi all, Alex here - bought a galant vr4 a few weeks back (been looking for years, finally saw one up for sale so I snapped at the chance!) I joined here as I've had a nightmare getting a new Cambelt and I know I'll need other bits, first post I've seen was a link to my car and a couple of people saying probably give it a miss - think this is going to be a bumpy ride of ownership haha!

Does anyone have any real world experience or expertise about intercoolers? I'm looking at upgrading mine, and the choises I'm loking at are: 1) A stock Evo intercooler 2) Chinese 600x300x76 bar&plate 3) Chinese 700x230x65 bar and plate 4) Chinese 770x300x50 tube&fin with 2,5" rear outlets. Any ideas on which would be the best choise considering cooling, air flow and pressure drop?

I'm planning to install a wideband o2 sensor, and I want to wire it so it's only on when the engine is running. I was thinking of powering it from the ignition on wire of the ignition switch, with a relay that activates when the starter signal is turned on. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ignition switch, or better sugestions of how to wire it?

Iím picking up a 2.4gdi 5speed auto 4wd galant at the weekend. Iv had a saloon and a legnum vr4 in the past and always wanted another galant. I have a spare 4g63t engine out of an airtrek with an evo 7 turbo that Iím planning to swap into it. How horrible is the wiring going to be? I have the full engine, engine loom, ecu and fuse box from the donor car. Iím just not looking forward to joining the engine loom to the body loom. If anyone has done a similar engine swap and like to give me a...

As the title says, when I'm cruising along on part throttle I get an intermittent, sporadic hesitation. The only engine bay work I've done recently is change the spark plugs (Front bank only as I ran out of time and daylight to do the rear) So naturally the coil packs have been disturbed along with other necessary wiring. It feels electrical but I could be wrong Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk

Hello, I need to replace my ABS/TCL computer. And well after struggling and swearing for the past couple of hours it's not coming out. So how do I go about removing it? I'm dreading that the answer will be to remove the whole dash or the A/C unit. See pic related, it's to the left of the glove box it's in a tight spot. I have a 1998 Type S Legnum. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Trying to get the car together within a month. Don't ask.. I seem to be missing some airpipes. One is the one to left of engine bay as you look in from front, it goes from intercooler hard pipe to Y shaped hard pipe. The second pipe is a flexi pipe that connects to the plastic hard pipe that fits to the front turbo. This flexi pipe doesn't seem to have a seperate part number but looks to be part of the y shaped rubber pipe that connects MAF and turbos. I'm also missing the wedge shape...
