I've amassed so much stuff over the years and I need some of it gone as I'm losing the storage. All parts are open for offers and can be collected or posted out providing payment is made in advance. I don't want much for any of it but I need you to make an offer rather than asking me 'how much mate?' What you see has been in a garage for a while and maybe dirty or slightly rusty. Things like the brakes will need an overhaul, they can't be used as they are. They are facelift I think....

Hi Guys, there been a strange noise coming from what I think is the timing belt idler (the small pulley at the top between the banks. I took the front cover of today to have a look the noise seemed to be in time with some white markings on the belt and went away when I sprayed a little wd on. However after i stopped the engine I noticed that the belt was slack on this pulley and it was able to move freely, despite the belt being seemingly tight on the cam pulleys. Worried I sent a text...

Hello all, Due to exceptional circumstances that occurred to me in Mid-March I am getting rid of all of the VR-4/V6/Galant parts I have accumulated over the years. Exceptional Circumstances - Think 5 Ambulances, 3 Fire Engines, 2 Police Cars, A bedroom window removed and a heart that did not beat unaided for 80 minutes (no, no typo that does say 80.) From memory I have the following in storage. Complete Rust free VR4 Legnum body shell with moonroof and fixed glass. I have the V5 and...

Hi there I just joined the forum, my names Craig and I live in Perth in Scotland (The Perth with the crap weather not the one in Oz thats a damn sight warmer). I bought a 1998 Legnum VR4 Type S two weeks ago and being very hands-on (I have spent the last 8 years restoring an old Fiat so I know my way around a toolbox) I wanted to join a forum where I could tap into the knowledge that I'll need to take my car to the standard I desire. Thats it - just thought I'd say hello and is there...

What option do we have with the torque converters for the Vr4s? can one use the regular galant (v6 na or GDI) T/C on the VR4? mine keeps shuttering with the starter motor and I've bee asked to replace it but I have extremely limited options.

I've got a date for your diaries! 10/11th July Subject to current COVID restrictions I'm going to be hosting one of my world-famous Garage Days at my home, just off M1 J27. Unfortunately no dyno, as Area 52 are closed for a couple of weeks around that time.

Anyone out here that owns or owed a 2.0L V6 EA4A and had the exhaust muffler control working on their car? Maybe someone have, or know where to get, the wiring diagrams for an EA4A. Would anyone know where to find some pictures of the vacuum lines running from the engine bay al the way towards the Left rear towards the Exhaust Muffler Control vacuum box. I do have ASA so I have a schematic of the lines but can't figure out the exact bolt on positions of the lines on the cars body. The...

Hello, after 6 years of ownership the aircon on my Legnum is now not cooling, so suspect it's leaked out over the lockdown :-( I went to my local garage who offered to recharge it, but then told me they couldn't find the quantity of refrigerant required for the Legnum, as it's a grey import, and not on their list. Any ideas on the correct weight of refrigerant?

Morning all, I appreciate it's a long shot, but does anyone have a spare front bank manifold with integral catalytic converter for a non-turbo V6? Its still speculative whether I actually need it, but if one is available I'll buy it just in case. Better than paying $741 plus taxes and shipping for one from America.. Has anyone taken one of these off before? I'm wondering how it is fixed to the manifold, whether it is a hidden flange with bolts, or the horizontal bolts as...

Hi all, been a while since i’ve been on here but need some advice on a 3.2 diesel shogun that i might be looking to buy cheap Basically it needs some work, rear brakes (no worries) Mot (again no real worries) The big one for me is it’s hard to start and lacking a bit of power, now i’ve read horror stories about the injection pump Question is are they really that bad and how hard are they to sort out? Now i don’t know it is the pump but i don’t know it isn’t either Any advice greatly...
