Anyone have this info in litres (which I think is the standard measurement).
Thinking what to replace the Galant, and a Zafira Gsi is a thought at the minute, just wondering what boot space is like in comparison.
Have looked at an A4 Avant, and the boot is half the size of mine!!
Any other suggestions for something with the load carrying capacity of the Galant estate?

Anyone have this info in litres

420 litres (14.8 cu.ft) minimum (back seats up, load cover in place), 1400 litres (49.4 cu.ft) maximum (back seats down).

A Scooby Forester has a similar size boot to a Galant estate - do you a swap if you want?
Top Gear mag has the litre-age (is that a word?) in the specs at the back -
Zafira - 150/1700 litres, Saab 9-5 - 416/1490 litres, Forester - 387/1629 litres, Transit - hods/a whole garden shed.
...or you could try keeping refilling a 2-litre Coke bottle after you've made the bootlid seal watertight /Hmmm

Cheers for that, very helpful.
It appears the Gsi, without the 3rd row of seats, is bigger than the VR4 - which is what I need for all our camping gear.

do NOT buy a Zafira.

I'm 23 years old, fit and healthy. Two hours driving the Zafira gave me back pain and a dodgy elbow. They are HIDEOUSLY uncomfortable to drive... the pedals are flat (you press down on them from above), the steering wheel is offset from the seat, the gear lever and handbrake are about 3 ft lower down than they should be.

The controls are also stupid. You can't wash the front screen and have the rear wiper on at the same time.
