Anybody changed there power steering pump?

Hey guys, i need a new one. i can get one for a couple hundred dollars and i want to put it in myself. anybody done one?

tips? pointers? catches?

i will probably put it in myself but take it to a garage to get the system properly flushed after its fitted.

err.... I think I posted something when I did mine... can't find it though...

it's fairly easy and straight forward.

biggest problem was getting it out of the engine bay... I took it out through the top, then put it back in throught the bottom... :inquisiti

I think the bottom is the easiest route if you can get the car off the floor...

I think you'll need to degas the air con too... mine was degassed already so I took out a few pipes for easy access... :thumbsup:

Good luck... oh, and don't think about doing anything else that day, other than swearing, bleeding and getting neck ache from looking up constantly....

Oh that's good then :) I've got a 3 year mechanical warrenty on the car LOL ;)
