Calipers are looking a bit cr a ppy on my new v6 sport and was thinking of uprating them at some point so they come first on my shopping list! :smug:
Can anyone recommend what to get or where to go? Want some fast road brakes that once in a blue moon will be on a track, I'm not a lottery winner so can't afford a fortune. ANy people got ideas?

Just a thought, I spose VR4 brakes are a lot bigger than my sport ones. Would the VR4 brakes fit onto mine?

Not without major surgery.

You can gain a lot of brake performance and feel from a disc/pad/hose upgrade without changing the calipers. It will cost you an awful lot less and might well get you the level of performance that you're after.

Issac's spot on. From my own experience with my old V6 Sport, a set of uprated pads and Grooved / Drilled discs all round made a BIG difference to braking under all conditions.

Thankyou peeeps! Could tart up the calipers with some paint to get em looking spot on I spose. Was at JAE and was told that Kieran was the person to ask about the sport. Any recommendations on what to get? Not many adverts list Galants in their selection...no sorry I lie.,...none of them do!

You sure Paul? The V6-24 was only single pot design through it's life... :inquisiti

evo 1-3 calipers (twinpots) and disks (276mm) fit stright on, no mods needed

Deffo twin pots! I take it standard v6-24s have 1 large single pot? Mine are 2 pots 1" dia approx.
Does it matter that mines a Sport? Wonder if Nick Mann knows about this (its his old sport)? /Hmmm
Might explain why i couldnt understand why everyone was moaning about the brakes being crap though!

Hi there M8,
Just read this posting and have seen that you would like to up grade your brakes. It just so happens that I have upgraded my VR4 brakes to EVO 8 set up ( FRONT ONLY ) and am looking to sell the stock items. If you are still interested PM me and I will send you pictures and work out a price including delivery!
Gerald.
