I have a major leak coming from what I think is the ATF fluid sump. It all happened when my beautiful girlfriend (God Bless her...) went to change a punctured front left tyre that she noticed, but in her infinite wisdom jacked the car up on the ATF sump... /grr
I wandered out to see how it was going (just outside our house) and found a steady dripping coming from the seam of the sump.
The fluid drained out completly overnight (into my oil pan) and now I'm left wondering what to do!!
I've had a good poke around and there's no obvous damage to the sump apart from a little dent (no bigger than 1cm). The dripping seems to be forming from the seam of the sump.
Shes getting towed to the doctor this afternoon. I'm not sure if it will require a simple weld or a replacement.
Does anyone know if I can get a sump of a wrecked non VR4 Legnum or Galant and put it on my baby??!!!
Any help would be great!!
