What you think that equals? I was hoping for 300 at the fly?
The guy also thought the intercooler was similar to an MR2 turbos and that it should be upgraded next.

Fly power would be around 316, I lost 102 from fly to wheels. Very good result :thumbsup: You have 2psi more than me at the top end I made 204 atw
what torque did you make cant read that graph?
Good to have a bit of competition now :2thumbsup

Sounds good then.
The torque was at wheels... 1509LBF (Wheel Torque) @ approx 2500rpm

Sorry theres no way your loosing 1/3 of you bhp through your transmission. You should ignore "guesses" as to what flywheel power your running as they are all inaccurate and compare wheel bhp`s, which can still be inaccurate due to tyre slippage. You really need an engine dyno to comprare flywheel power or a chassis dyno to compare bhp at the hubs.

Shouldn't be that huge... 3S guys are loosing at most around 80hp. Try searching 3si.org archives on this topic.

That is still getting on for 1/3 though! I think Richard underestimates the power sapping 4wd/Auto combination!

On my evo i lost 80bhp so I think 102 is not far out for the auto.
I dont think you can just ignore Fly figures as they give a rough guide and if you listen to how the guy at Wallace went over how his dyno worked it out I reckon it is pretty close

Does that make my figures of BHP at the wheel via my GTech about right then .. Cos i thought it was low but didn't quite know how much difference the Transmission ans 4WD would make .. It came out at 199.9 WHP .. :inquisiti

With the Gtech you also have rolling resistance which will make your figures lower by 30-40BHP. I recorded 214 with my Gtech at 0.7 Bar :thumbsup:
Oh.. I was under the impression youd actually pulled your engine out and thrown it on an engine dyno. Guessing from an ATW figure is a guess, might be an educated one but nothing more.
Also - testing an auto and a manual FTO, identical otherwise, gave power figures within 1kW.
Same goes for g-tach figures, unless you put your car on an accurate weighbridge, its guesswork.
Another thing, even tyre size can affect ATW power figures. Its useful for tuning - "Yes, this made power go up", otherwise the only true test is an engine dyno or racetrack.

Rubish, a slightly sticking break or slightly under inflated tyre can give you a lot higher rolling resistance hence lower flywheel bhp. I think you have to ignore flywheel bhp as its only an estimate and not accuratly measured.

I'm going to get my stock facelift auto dynoed in 2 days, I'll post up something so we can compare. I realise different dyno's will give different results, but it should be an indication.

How can you say rubbish then agree with me. I said they gave a rough idea, you said rubbish then said they gave an estimate.
A sticking brake does make a difference, this was seen at another rolling road day as the guys atf figure was way high for the atw figure but that rollers did not do a run down test to work out the resistance for fly figure.
I was quite impressed with the dyno compared to older ones I have used and as technology moves on we cant just say rubbish to new things /pan :thumbsup:

Make it an international area / competition though!

Can anyone help me here?
No own axeboys old car and not sure what 1509 LBF actually means.
Can anyone convert to Lb/ft or am I missing something??

Had a look at the 1st diagram and it looks very acurate as at 5250rpm the BHP and torque must be the same; made me smile that it never crossed my mind that with 4 WD you have to add the the 2 roller readings together to prove the graphs correct.
1509 lb f what is this a 12 litre turbo diesel lorry or something?

More like 55/45 split
