Storms .......

Was on a motorway one night during my trip. Went through a tremendous thunderstorm which lasted about 20 minutes. At one stage traffic was down to about 10-20 mph due to the driving rain obstructing the view as well as being blinded by lightning.

Have just reviewed the video I took and this is just one example of less that HALF of ONE SECOND. In fact, the sequence timing on the video was taken as follows:

I took some photos out my back window at home about a month ago. It was about midnight and there was an awesome storm. The pics came out as if it was daytime........the only giveaway was that the street lights were on!

From the back garden of my sisters house, we could see for miles across the skyline of Johannesburg !!
I used to sit there most evenings & watch fantastic electrical storms. /yes :thumbsup:

I doubt there's much in this world as powerfully compelling to watch as a full-on African lightning! Especially for the British with our mild (although apparently less so at the moment) weather.
