Had these sitting about doing nothing since last November

Eibach Pro - Progressive Springs (-30 to -35mm-ish) I had these on my 02 2.5-V6 Sport, they should fit all other V6 & 2.4GDi saloons. (They may fit VR4 saloons - I'm sure some VR4 owners have fitted spring kits for v6 - best to check 1st as i cant guarantee this!)

Fitting these made a massive improvement to the V6 handling AND comfort, fitting these got rid of the sports harshness and banging and clunking about when giving it some over rough surfaces.

These are a quality bit of kit and not to be confused with cheaper non progressive kits available for around £100 - you pays for quality

I believe the front will be no problem. Not sure about the rears.

£50 /pan me no thinks so - they were only on my V6 for aboot 6 months....

rears looked ok when i sized them up on my VR4, this was only a visual check so best to see what eibach say.... (check with BDA and SGHOM - ii think they have or have used V6 springs on their leggies at some point)

I never bothered to fit them to the VR4 as i thought the VR4 suspension was perfect for me and didnt want to mess with it

Derek has used V6 Springs, BDA didn't. Derek's seem okay, however bear in mind that these -40mm V6 springs look more like a -60mm drop on Derek's car - I imagine this is down to the extra weight of the VR-4....

Yes, this was exactly what the lady at Eibach said to me. She had them for the V6 but as the VR4 was 4 x 4 with extra weight she was fairly certain that the V6 springs would NOT be suitable. Hence she wanted to check with Germany ........ she said that they MAY have suitable springs in their Japanese production/catalogue.

standard shocks - the saloons didnt have the option of self leveling shocks (that was only the v6 estates - i think!!! - Kieran will know for defo
 )

the spring's he used (Pi one's) state'd on the box that they were for both V6 & 2ltr estate, we only fitted the front as the rear of his 2ltr has self level shock's and the spring's wouldn't fit them :rolleyes4 .....even though the front has spring's with -35mm in height "it still sit's high!" (on the front)...but the handling is fine /yes

OK .......... the word from Eibach is that they have NO springs available from any of their production for the VR4.

The springs that are made for the V6 should NOT be used on the VR4 due to weight difference.

Oooooops! lol :embarasse

Edit:

Actually Derek, I would think that Eibach are covering themselves in case of any issue. They are high quality products and there must be a considerable 'safety' factor which may well accept the added weight.

I made an inquiry for Eibach Pro's a few months ago for my GLS and the reference I received was: Pro-Kit EIBACH 6.027.140

Maybe this can help you guys to sort things out...

Its a such a huge shame eibach dont manufacture springs for VR4 they do such a great job on other galants (and beema 740 a rellie has)

Not many other options for progressive spring on the vr4 are there?

I'll pay up to £100 for 'em, shouldn't really but as long as it makes Angelina a bit lower! She'll look nasty then. Is that a more ball park figure? any ideas on P+P?
