Electrical Problem

Hi guys

The lights in my VR4's speedo cluster often go out when the car is running. On other occasions when a door is opened the interior lights along with the door open indicator in the speedo fail to come on. I also sometimes lose power to the aftermarket 2-din CD player.

Can anyone say what could be causing these problems?

Sounds like an earthing fault to me, though which one it could be is anyone's guess.... Seeing as it's affecting interior stuff rather than the engine, try around the internal fusebox, which is behind the coin holder on the right hand side of the steering column.
