ok i now this is early but i thought id start it as there is already talk of this on the japshow thread.

As a newby to japshow and ibis, im driving down in the morning.
Q1 what time leaving ibis.
Q2 what time will that get us to the pod.
Q3 where is ibis (answerd tar pete)
Q4 will we be able to get all cars on ibis car park.
Q5 will there be any where were we can get some great photos/vid /Steeringw on way in
i will be willing to go on ahead to take some pics dont have vidrecorder.
Any more Q will be posted later cant think of any more.

Hotel directions:

Leave M1 at J15, take A508 towards Northampton. Continue on the A45 towards Wellingborough for 10 miles & the hotel is situated just off the roundabout.

Yes, we will be able to get all the cars in the car park :thumbsup:

The Pod is no more than 15-20 mins away - see pic.

1. Normally early. Derek is doing the organising thing this year, but I would guess it will be 7:00am ish.
2. The Pod is only 15 mins ish from the Ibis, but the queues outside may lengthen the time taken before we actually arrive.
3. As per Pete's map. A43 from the M1, past Northampton, out towards W'borough. After a fair few miles of dual carriageway, you suddenly get to a roundabout. The A43 is the 3rd exit, but you want the second. The hotel is on the left.
4. Depends on how many people are convoying! There is always the McDonalds next door, or the pub over the road!
5. Probably, if someone wants to organise it. I would rather convoy than photograph!

'ere nick is it easier from the A1 or M1 (ibis that is!)
It looks about the same distance on the map
OH yeah and according to my AA map there's cameras on A14, A508,A45 and quite a few on the A1- it doesn't say if they're mobile or permanent

we will be leaving the Ibis around 7.30 / 8.00 am. no later ! /yes If the weather is set fair, there will be big queues to get in, plus we need to be signing on for track time from 9.00 am.
best bet would to be meet at Mcdonalds [ next door to the Ibis ] at 7.00 am ?

here's a thought if it takes u lot 20 mins from the ibis to the pod maybe you should give me a head start /Steeringw seeing as you all left me behind on the way to s/stone /pan it's not my fault i ain't got tcs/ayc/abs/a.c/ 2turbos (that's greedy!!) and wotever else :embarasse

I know it will be difficult considering the numbers of cars involved, but it would be good to get some decent convoy footage shot at this event. I now have the bullet cam so can do some forward and rear action filming.......maybe someone can go ahead and get some footage of us all too ?? Thoughts ?
