I'm sure if anyone's got anything we'll let you know on this thread.

Shipping could be expensive though.

So, how far are you going with the conversion? Twin Turbos and everything, or will it be a lookalike?

Though supply is difficult, we may be able to help identify the parts you need. There's many differences between the USDM and JDM/Euro Galants - You got a list so far?

If your ES is not 4WD you'll have traction problems. /Steeringw

give us a list of what you need and we can post on this thread what we have, that way, we can get a volunteer to collect the stuff from a show and send it all at once to save you shipping lots of bits...

It would work out cheaper that way, however, you would have to have some cash saved up to do this though.... :scholar:

The list is still a good idea though...

Good luck and post some pictures whilst you do it, we'd all be interested to see you do it and more than willing to give you some advice if we can....

how can i be a full member?

First i want all 8th gen vr-4 galant bumpers, fenders, and lights so i can paint it before the cold weather. What is good price to spend on a motor trans and ecu combo?

thanks for all the help, it is very appreciated.

lol. this guy... you know its cheaper to BUY a vr4 and import it than it is to do a motor swap + facelift. so unless you have like 30k to import one, just stick to usdm.

i dont know if you know this, but to fit world spec galant parts on a USDM galant actually requires a lot of modding. the crash bar needs be be removed to fit your bumper, radiator support needs to be cut to fit grill and headlights, suspension parts are different. hoods are different, trunks are different. nothing "bolts" right on.

I'm pretty sure we suggested that to him in a different thread? He seemed really keen for a few days, but haven't seen him around since. I think we said that there would be so many parts he needed he would be better sourcing a whole car from Japan!

If hes going from FWD to 4WD he's gonna need to put his propshaft somewhere, and i dont think he will have the space for it.
