Can you supply some examples Richard, some pictures maybe?

Have you tried a set - and is silcon tough enough? Thought the cusco metal pipes would be better? :inquisiti

I haven`t tried them as they need a min of 20 orders to justify making up the tools for the custom hoses however most of the hoses on my custom intercooler pipework are SFS hoses and dont expand at all. While working on Dereks I was amazed how much the original rubber pipework expands under boost.

As for the cusco metal pipes, they are £110 more expensive (£250 from chris@funky) and would give very little improvement over these. IMHO the cusco kit may be worse as the metal pipes may hold heat.

I'm in.... Blue please...

And to answer Kieren, I recently purchased some silicon hoses from these people and trust me, they don't swell, it has made a big difference...

Silicon hoses will hold the type of boost our cars can take, metal just looks nice 'cos it''s different....

BUY BUY BUY!!!! you won't get another opportunity..... :scholar:

Rich... any discount for members??.. /Hmmm 20 seems a bit steep, but the more we have the more Rich can negotiate!!!

come on people, Rich has made the effort.... let's get behind him... that's a great price for ALL 5 pipes!!!

Definitely in on this...will have to think about the colour though...it's a serious desision you know ;)

strangebat

definetly up for this  .
I too have been pricing up various options for this- I might be wrong but I thought the cusco pipe didn't include the pipes you can't see, ie under the car to the intercooler /Hmmm
and this will save about £60 on ordering allthe parts seperatly.

defo agood deal but now I have to think about colour /Hmmm -I hadn't thought beyond blue before, but now I have a choice /help

I take it this is all the hoses required for turbo / intercooler. Sorry for being a tad lame, not having the best day and brain has retarded it's IQ to around 14 as a precaution. In other words if I get a new intercooler, I won't need anything else..

Apart from lack of swell, can you quantify the difference it has made?

If your intercooler has the same pipework required as standard then yes.

Apart from lack of swell, can you quantify the difference it has made?

It feels cleaner and has upped the boost by 0.1 bar (on standard boost). :evil2:

I was also speaking to a friend who has a skyline and he said when he replaced his standard pipes, his boost was up by 0.3 bar!!!

It made a difference to me and I only bought 2 for my intercooler, can't wait to get my hands on the rest.... the complete pipes (not ones with joins in) will make a big difference I'm sure of it... I wouldn't waste £140 just for aesthetics!! :rolleyes4 :evil2:

BUMP!!!! /help

Come on you cheap buggers!! /pan

Restore the boost your car had when new, the black pipes you've got at the mo' have worn away and are loosing boost by swelling... :evil2:

If you don't want a coloured engine bay, then buy black!!! :evil2:

Not sure if it would be feasible but have you thought about opening the offer to the rest of the world. Not sure how much weight is involved but someone could maybe estimate surface shipping to New Zealand? May help you to get the numbers you need.

I never said it was UK only, but it would be slightly more for shipping over to NZ.

the contact I had left the company so it kind of died, but most of the silicon companies were interested if someone wants to approach one. I just havn`t got time at the moment.

There is one company local to me that I've seen advertised SFS/SPS not sure which it is . I will give em a ring on Tuesday and see what I can do .

As am local I can let them have mine for a couple of days if they need to make em up etc .

Let me know if anyone needs a hand with anything don't know much about them but am willing to chip in where I can :).
