Should be OK under 17"s, but may depend on the offset of the wheel. The Brembo calipers are W-I-D-E.

I use Evo VII wheels which are 17x8, offset +38 mm and they just clear the calipers.

I'm using the standard Evo VII discs and pads as well which I haven't had a problem with, but I'm not hard on brakes. The pads will be due for renewal soon and the clever people seem to recommend Ferodo DS2500 for fast road/occasional track use so I may give them a try. Avoid EBC if you can - personal experience with EBC Reds on front/EBC Blacks on back was horrible :INSERT INTO post VALUES ( .

When you fit the front discs, you'll probably have to remove the disc backplate but that's OK. The suspension joints are far enough away from the discs not to get overheated. When you fit the rears, you'll have to burr off the edge of the backplate to get the larger discs to fit. The backplate contains some of the handbrake components so can't just be discarded like the fronts.

Well worth the effort, though. These brakes make a big difference :)

I've got Mintex on the fronts, can't tell what's on the rear and they seem to work quite well, since I don't get to drive the car as often as I like it spends quite alot of time just sitting there looking pretty.. when I come off my driveway which is on a slight incline I have to come down slow and the only way to do that is to ride the brakes and they graunch like hell! very grabby too, once it's on the move they work really quite well with ZERO judder aswell.
They were already on the car but I will switch to the Ferodo's like Pete has when the time comes.

Yeah, I have the Ferodo DS2500 pads on the front and no complaints from me - excellent so far.

A couple weeks ago I changed the rears and didn't waste any time in fitting standard Mitsy pads - only £44 inc vat !

Richie - if you want to speak to the guys who supplied my pads/discs then have a look in the links section - Woodford Garage Motorsport in Totnes - speak to Simon and tell him I sent you okay
