Nice body kit (although it should be in grey) but the evo wing doesn't work

Well that is a super vr-4 body kit, which I have only ever seen before on a wagon. If you do a search for super vr-4, you'll find quite a few pics. 'Diddington Wizard' ran his down the drag strip at Japshow, damned nice looking car!

The wheel arches are definately from a facelift car. The price is a little steep though, even if it sounds like there has been quite a bit of work done to it.

Whoops, I missed something, it has red carpet, momo wheel and recaro seats, this is definately a super vr-4 sedan. Something I've never even heard of before, a very rare car indeed. Someone really should buy it!

this yard is in Pakuranga I pass it on the way home every day, have been tempted to have a look, looks like it may have uprated brakes on it, or just painted calipers.

dickytim, it also looks like it has quite a few electronic devices on the dash, it looks like an HKS boost controller, turbo timer, and maybe some more stuff, it could be a very fast car.

could be a time bomb as well :)

Might take it for a test drive on the weekend.

Looking at the pictures, yeah, there's a Boost controller, turbo timer. There's also an Apexi S-AFC in the centre console too (older style one).
In the engine bay, there's an Apexi-style filter, and looks like a hard-pipe kit too. Looking at the 1st photo, looks like the intercooler's been changed too - You can see the end tanks in that 1st photo are different (and having just re-read the advert, yes it has). Those yellow pipes look like a crankcase breather trap kit too.

Impressive car.

crankcase breather trap kit? what on earth is that??

I noticed the intercooler and intercooler piping too.

We are way off topic now, but basically Pizza, it is a standard body kit, from a Super VR-4 Sedan.

looks like adjustable shocks, can't see an oil catch can, will have a look on Sat.

Osiris, I remember when your friend turned up to that meet, Uc was all excited about the rear wing going on his car, but the rest of us were just amazed at those mags.

Is he still selling it?

Yup the car was for sale and I advertised it here somewhere. But in the end he swapped it for an Evo 3. Straight swap.

:rolleyes4

I'd prefer the Galant, unless the EVO was heavily modified.

Well the GVR4 was Super VR4 standard with Tein coilovers and 20" rims. The Evo 3 was so much faster, custom pearl/gold paint job and some other stuff done under the hood such as filter, exhaust etc.

The picture doesn't do justice of paint job.

Super VR4's seem to be very rare. Only ever seen one wagon come up in the Japanese auctions in the last 6 months. In saying that Saloon VR4's are a lot less common in Jap auctions as well. Only 1 or 2 saloons come up per day, oppossed to the dozen or so wagons.
