I am breaking my EVO 1 for parts, its non damage in full working order

I believe its engine is same as VR-4

Eveything up for grabs at a moment.

Different engine isn't it ? The EVO uses the 4G63 and the VR4 a 6A13 Twin Turbo - right ?

The older 6G? I believe uses the engine from the EVO 6.
