Did a swap with a nice guy called Jake who will no doubt join up soon.
Will stay on here putting a few posts up now and again mind!!

This is more 'chuckable' but will bite quicker - The VR could be chucked around all day and not lose traction (for me anyway eh Jim? sorry m8....)

This is far more mad so requires far more respect - did some mad wheel spinning chasing my mates HOT 200SX did not realise it would wheel spin so easy /Hmmm

:inquisiti

should be around 400bhp without the NOS - going to see Gary at APT to look at emanage and look at the map on high boost (1.2)

" A trush what sir"
Trust FFS

5 mins later and several spelling corrections later..........
"Will it be used on the track sir"
"Of course not"
"Ok, it will be an extra £208"
"Can i decrease my mileage"
"You can sir, any reason why"
"because of how much you fecking leaches take off me every year"

So anyway, not too bad an increase, was actually only another £140pa with reducing my mileage to 5000 ............of course i did not tell them everything, just the main stuff like NOS, exhaust, wheels, Intercooler and boost controller.

How long have you had this beast? :leer:

18-10-2005, 11:00 AM
 since Saturday m8 - will have to come down your manor and go the Ace cafe meet one evening!!

Dave - think it was running 13's without the NOS, so 12's should be possible.
Might be asking you questions about emanage soon - still have figure out the alarm first!! I could not get the engine to turn off yesterday and nearly resorted to diconnecting power to fuel pump :embarasse

I guess you mustve been ragging it too much that the turbo timer calculated an hour to cool off?? /pan

Ace cafe would be good indeed... A few fellow skyliners there you could share a bacon roll and a mug of tea with am sure!

Seen a post where it did a 14.4 with no Nos..............also one stating 300BHP not 400......

I guess its had some more work done?!

jakester
18-10-2005, 11:45 AM
Hi Dave, yes it is me off the WON site, and, it has had work since that 14.x, I added the emanage, injectors, z32 afm, gtr fuel pump and regulator, other bits and bobs and had it all mapped at ATF Power is wisbech. I ran a 13.9 a couple of months ago without the N20, so, I really think the car has a 12 in it with the right conditions and on the gas.

John, what sort of probs are you having with the alarm?

enigma
18-10-2005, 12:06 PM
You wil probably need a bit more than 50 to get the 12s, but respectable none the less......

Still cant figure the insurance out though....normally nitrous scares the crap out of them! Loads of places wouldn't touch me without the gas..........and I imagine Skylines premiums are worse just because they have a certain kudos!

jakester
18-10-2005, 12:10 PM
Skyline premiums are kinda crazy, that is one thing I am glad to be rid of :), as for the VR4, bloody marvellous car, I love it.

sorry for the hijack john.

Smokinmasta2

John, what sort of probs are you having with the alarm?

Cant get the turbo timer function to work mainly, also i get lost trying to remote start - every whirs into life, ign, radio etc but does not fire up.
Do i have to leave to ign toggle switch armed?
I keep trying diff combinations in the instruction book/manual!!

Do you have the sparkplug cover BTW?

jakester
18-10-2005, 04:14 PM
Yes I have the plug cover :).

To get the turbo timer to function......

After a drive, with the car still running....on the keyfob press:

clifford, clifford doublestar, then, press the unlock button and switch the ign off (and the toggle switch if it is on). The doors will unlock and the car stays running. get out, lock the car and the turbo timer will switch off after 40 secs.

for remote start, just press the single star.

A man with similar taste, but with 2 big dogs there was no option for me but a tasty VR4 estate. Once I trade the hounds in, a GTR will be top of my list. Is it true you cant get hold off R34's now due to SVA type approval?
