OK, I've had the V6-24 for a few weeks now and so far so good.
However, the other day the oil pressure light flickered on dimly when I was stationary in traffic and had the air con on.
I pulled over and checked the oil, and as soon as the revs were anything ever than idle it went out again. However, on checking the oil I noticed it was very thick and VERY black, so I'm changing it at the weekend (won't have a chance before then).
Now as far as I can figure, it seems logical that thick dirty oil would take more effort to pump and could therefore cause low pressure at low revs (especially if the filters as nasty as the oil), but I just wanted to borrow your collective intelligence to either confirm thats likely or put the lie to it.
