All,

Where do you get hold of the performance upgrade for VR-4. Considering that most of the UK tuners are unaware of this car! I have searched a few places and all they have are mostly for Evos. Where do you get yours?

Thanks,

Jon

Most tuning bits we have are not VR4 specific. Eg boost controllers, dump valves, filters.

Some people have HKS/Fujitsubo exhausts, although as many now probably have custom built jobs.

For suspension there are kits available, you probably need to read through old posts.

For wheels and brakes, the MLR is a good place for Evo throw-aways, but you can get wheels pretty easily anywhere.

What kind of things are you after?

Nothing in particular, was just looking through but don't seem to find any place that have them but yet, I could see that a few people on here have certainly modded their cars... I know that I would have to upgrade the brakes and wheels to start things off... after DV and turbo timer. Once done, suspensions would be on the list. Followed by turbo / intercooler upgrade i hope...

Any idea which one of these would be for the VR4 Type S saloon?, The guy at Graham Goode seems a bit clueless!!!

Super Drager 3301-SM023 EC5A/W 6A13 - 96/8~ £545.00 + VAT (£640.38)

Super Drager 3302-SM006 EA1W - 97~98 POA

It's the one for the EC5A/W. That's the chassis code for the VR-4.

The EA1W would be the 1.8GDi version!

Cheers Kieran, 1 more :), are the Galant and Legnum exhaust systems the same?

EC5A is the saloon, EC5W is the wagon, but I believe the mounting points are identical.

What sort of extra HP should you see from a panel filter, Super Drager and an ECU? Just out of curiosity. £1500 should cover that lot right?

Try this:

HKS Europe (http://www.hkseurope.com/)

hard to believe they aren't doing the exhausts anymore, but direct from manufacture you may get one of the last.

i remember a friend of mine who works at an exhaust shop tried putting an exhaust on a legnum that he had brought of a dude with a galant, eveything was fine except for the last 2 feet - the legnum was longer between the back wheels and where the exhaust exited.

there was a lot of swearing that day

strange as the two cars are the same length :inquisiti

:inquisiti My V6 was a saloon and I fitted the fujitsubo from a Legnum VR-4 to it. The V6 exhaust was routed differently, but it was the right length. In fact, I'm sure HKS and people like Kakimoto list the same for both applications. There IS a difference between pre and post facelifts, but not in length - just where the flange is.
