Hi, anyone know any different on this?.
I have just been to my local Mitsubishi garage to buy some Mitsubishi Diamond Spectrum SP 111 ATF fluid. ( to give it it's full title)
THey are quite happy to sell me it by the litre, but, when I said it was for the AYC and not the auto gearbox, the guy (who I know quite well now) tells me that "You wont be able to drain, refill, and bleed the AYC systm without linking it up to our computer", he said that it must be done with the computer attached and that the are told by the computer when to turn the steering wheel from lock to lock to engage the ayc pump and so on etc.
I said can't I just drain and bleed one nipple after the other and run the engine to force fluid through?, but he says that this is a no go.
He also said that the local import tuning specialists all bring cars into them to have the AYC done?.
It does kind of scupper my plans to do al my own servicing, (well that part of it anyway).
Has anyone on the forum changed the AYC fluid, or had it done by someone other than Mitsubishi?
The guy has been really good with me, but I wonder if this is totally true, or are there any tricks that we can use to overcome this?, any views appreciated, cheers Louis /help
