Wheel clamps for security

Has anyone ever used a wheel clamp on their car for added security?

I have Mongoose alarm with double immobiliser and a steering wheel lock, but that probably isn't enough. I have to park my Lengnum VR4 on the road unfortunately, and I live in Wellington a NZ car theft hotspot.

Well the cops have a dedicated car theft division in Welly apparently. Anyway quite a few times cars on my street have been broken into or even nicked, so you can't be too careful.

Do you have any land on your property? IF so you could get a prefab garage to store the car.
