hey Birdman,

That's some great work you've done there. The interior looks fantastic, really classy looking, and you've addressed on of the Galants know weak points to headlamps. Excellent work. Gold star, go to the top of the class

Better headlights - other than better bulbs I'm not sure you can.

Yep - To me this car stands out amongst a lot of USDM Galants as being a particularly nice one.

I see you've swapped the steering wheel - Is that not an MOT (or whatever it's called over there) failure?

I'm not sure about the US, but it isn't an MOT failure here, if it's done right.

Really?

I thought as soon as the airbag was disconnected (and therefore the SRS light came on) that it was an instant fail? :inquisiti

I don't pretend to understand, but i have a mate (again) who is building a track day car combining a Peugeot 306 and an Honda ITR engine and gubbins.
He wants the car to be road legal, so has to follow all the rules in terms of MOT etc.
Anyway, he fitted a Momo steering wheel with no airbag but a collapsable steering column and removed (very delicately) the airbag that was in as standard. I don't know whether he disconnected the SRS light, but it definately worked, and he has passed an MOT since in that condition.

Basically, if you can show that the airbag isn't malfunctioning, it's just not there, then it will pass.

When i see him i'll double check, besides that he is doing some interesting stuff to the car.

EDIT/ Birdman sorry to hijack the thread. I should have said earlier but nice car

well over here it is a failure, that's why i just throw the stock wheel back on b4 inspection... takes about 5 minutes to swap... i really want the stock Momo VR4 wheel... but yeah, thanks for the comments guys, and it's a little cold for more pics of the wife, maybe in the spring or summer... and i'll let you know how i did the lights... when i'm done with them. They aren't finished yet, i still have to paint the chrome parts except teh reflector black and mold them into the housings... as for aftermarket headlights...the only aftermarket lights you can BUY are like THIS: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/2/web/434000-434999/434381_80_full.jpg

Someone who works across the road from me has those lights, and I don't think they look that nice in person.

Do you know where that bumper is available from? It looks amazing.
