Paul -I'm calling the seller later this morning to find out where exactly the car is and whether or not it still has an MOT, etc - If it's got some ticket left, I can get a temp insurance policy and get it taxed whilst down there so that I can drive it back. Otherwise, it will be trailer action!

We're looking Tues/Weds/Thurs....

Will do Paul - Just tried to contact him but can't get through. As soon as I've spoken to him I'll post here, so that other peeps can see what the plan is, just in case they're thinking of assisting.

Thanks for the offers guys - I appreciate them.

Okay.

The car still has some MOT left, and the guy has all the V5, etc etc so chucking a tax disc on it remains a viable option. I'm erring towards this to be honest.

Provisionally I have said Thursday for a pick up. The guy is self employed so he can be flexible but he's flat out Tuesday and Weds morning.

The car is in Sturminster Marshall, Bladford. It's about 200 miles from KieranCorp towers. If you want to check with the AA, then the post code is BH21 4BL.

So, my current plan is as follows:

Drive down in my VR4 and pick Paul/Andy up along the way, or meet them or whatever. They can then drive my car back, and I can bring Goldie back. Having some peeps follow me will also mean that in the event of a mechanical fault, we have tools to fix, or my VR-4 can be used as a towing mule.

When we get down there, cash is exchanged and I visit the nearest post office armed with insurance details and stuff so that I can get a tax disc. Then we start back.

Is this sounding reasonable so far?

its a tough one , kieran has a knackered engine in a car in his , where as you have an upside down engine in a wheel barrow which coincidently is also the only way into the garage , on that note you win Glenn

I think he is a happy man!

also.... the more i look at the engine in the Colt :inquisiti the more it remind's me of the one's fitted in to the first Mazdz 323's mid -70's to 1981 they only came in a 1.3 or a 1.4 5-speed, i had 2 1.4 and my brother and i fitted a 3ltr in to one of them :smug: ... /Hmmm i'll have to dig out some pic's and scan them in!
