Really could use a bit of help please :)

I am trying to get at the idle stepper motor to give it a clean as my revs are dropping a bit too much at idle. I have taken the aftermarket dump valve apart and cleaned it, so, tis is the next step. Is that the stepper in Pic 1, and, how do you take it out?

In pic 2 there is a hose that comes off the intake pipe the MAF is connected to, but, this hose foes nowhere and, is not blocked off....is thhis normal?

That is the stepper and it will come off with the Throttle Body if I recall........4 bolts :)

The hose that is not connected should be connected to your oil breather - this unmetered air may well be causing you problems!

The pipe goes from the T piece on the inlet piping to the rear rocker cover. If you have a look it should be easy to see - it looks like your pipe has come off the rocker cover as the t piece is in the background on the picture.
