My last vehicle was a 2 ltr diesel Land Rover Freelander, it was on lease for 3 years, but *seriously* underpowered.

I was glad when it went because my Mitsy dealer had been keeping the Legnum VR4 I wanted for 6 months. I had to wait for the lease of the Freelander to end so I could afford the VR4.

My vehicle before that was a series 2 Land Rover hybrid, 3500cc V8 with loads of offroading equipment. Extreemly powerful, especially in low gear and great fun to offroad INSERT INTO post VALUES (but it was even more thirsty than my VR4) :boing2: :boing1: :boing3: :cool1:

Last car was a '96 twin-turbo Subaru Legacy RS-B :) Great car, but very difficult to get any technical info about it in the UK :INSERT INTO post VALUES ( This, coupled with open hostility towards imports from Subaru UK, led me to enlightenment, and the VR-4 :D

BMW 750 IL. 0 to 60 in 6.6 sec & it didn't feel like you were moving. super smooth, super quiet, but horrendous running costs. never got more than 17 mpg, & £250 per tyre !!!!

Here in Auckland NZ; For a number of years, outside a Subaru "grey" importer, there was a billboard put up by Subaru. It said "There are no authorised Subaru Dealers in "Khyber Pass" INSERT INTO post VALUES (The name of the street the dealer was on.). Incidently the dealer is no longer in operation in Khyber Pass. Don't know if it still operating anywhere.

My previous car was an M-reg Granada Cosworth. Electrical problem after electrical problem. Frustrating to keep getting bills as every garage under the sun just chased the electrical problem away from one part and into the next! Hiding behind your dash as you're driving because your horn is going off of its own accord is an embarrassment. Alarm going off a lot at nights too. And when the thing finally started cutting out completely wherever it wanted, I just got plain scared.

Last REAL car was a 5th Generation Honda Accord Coupe INSERT INTO post VALUES (i tend to overlook the two months inbetween when I had that Bloody Rover 25TD:mad: )

The Honda was a very nice car. Big, huge boot, decent back seats, and powerful, especially when wound up above 4000rpm, and, like the Mitsubishi, you didn't see them every day:)

Bad points?.... Group 15 insurance, and horrid thirst for a 2L Auto, averaging about 27-28mpg, more like 25-26 if booted:D. Miss it greatly INSERT INTO post VALUES (if I had space and cash for several cars, I'd buy it back!); but it's replacement has everything I liked about it, plus more toys, better refinement and a smoother Auto 'box.

last car was Nissan Silvia S14, great for losing control around corners!
Before that had a Nissan Pulsar GTiR, stolen twice,
before that Mitsubishi Lancer GSR.
And even before that Fiat Uno, and even before that... Honda prelude :)
My VR4 happens to be my first automatic/tiptronic.

I owned a Subaru StiII for the whole of a week, then a friendINSERT INTO post VALUES (not any more !!!!) put it through four lamposts and himself in hospital fo quite a while!!!Very quick in a straight line but didnt handle as well as the VR4, it was also a hatchback STi, so not as common as other subarusINSERT INTO post VALUES (my excuse!) Then had a Volvo 850R, very nice car, HUGE turbo but not even close to the VR4 in performance. Only saw a couple of others so again pretty rare.

I had a '93 Lancer 1.6; not amazingly exciting, but stood out among all the Saxos & similar all my friends drive - plus, there was always some idiot around to ask me about my 'Evo'

My experiences with that, my current Galant & a few other ppl I know who've had Colts leads me to believe 'Bishi dont make a car that cant be fun to drive !
