Is it worth getting a superchip or ecu upgrade for a 2.0L 16v Gls! /Hmmm

as far as i know, you can only add an external piggy back type chip up-grade...some thought my old GLS was chipped but i sold it before i ever had a look at the ECU.....i did have my fair-share of killing car's that should have killed mine :leer:

Is your car a GDI? If it is that could make it quite difficult to do.

I had a 1.8 Legnum before I got my VR-4, and I was thinking about getting the manifolds done, intake, and a piggy back chip, but once I added it all together it came out to the price differance of going straight to a VR-4 anyway.

You will probably get 20-30hp out of an ECU, and maybe another 20hp out of exhaust and intake mods, but I think it does get to a point where you might be best to look at either the standard V6 or a VR-4 instead of spending money to make your car a little bit faster.
