Guys,
What sort of tyre pressures should i be running with 215/45/17s on a set of 17x7" wheels on the Legnum?

They are not the original wheels and i have no idea how to figure out how to convert from the standard figures...

Any advice would be good.

Cheers

Al

I'd use 32-34 all round. I'd also consider 225 wide next time for a slightly taller side wall. Every mm counts!

I found it was rrrrreeeaallllllyyyy buuuuuumpy when they were up at 32+, curently running 30 all round which seems reasonable.

How far out are they from the original specs? Speedo seems damn innacurate.

According to the Miata Tyre calc, it's about 1% off the original spec of 205/55 R16...

Bumpy ride.... I notice that yours is a pre-facelift.... Any idea when the shocks were last changed? /Hmmm

Cheers K., very useful link...

No idea when the shocks were changed but by the looks of them not all that long ago, I'm sure the firmness of the ride is just my perception - it's way firmer than my Jag which had the sports pack suspension on it but nowhere near as firm as my TVR so probably about right for how it is meant to be.

I've just bought 225-section F1s for my VR4 & i think they look too chunky on the rim. Seems like i'm stuck with them, though.

How wide is the rim?

i'm running 225/45/17 on mine and 35psi front and 33 rear , seems to give it a nice oversteery feel when you get back on the throtttle mid corner , loads of cofidence with these pressures

Same pressures i run, But i'm on 18's. Like Paul says, it gives an oversteery feel to the car if you are pushing hard and mines 4WD. Nicely balanced when driving normal. Although i drop a pound or 2 out when this colder weather comes as it starts to lose traction and gets very sideways when being pushed..

I'm sure it's a 7.5" rim. Had another look this evening (car's a new import & is just getting registered) & it'll have to grow on me...
