Anyone got any ideas for another trackday as Donny was cancelled? Does it need to be unsilenced?

Donny are having trackdays on Jan 29, Feb 12 and Feb 26, all sundays, full day, national circuit and are silenced, and all are still £99.00 advanced booking.

The Feb dates could be good as the weather may have picked up a little by then.

Don't count on it.....Feb is often when we get the most snow in England IIRC, certainly down here.

I woud avoid the cheap trackdays organisd by the circuits themselves

I think you get more lunatic driving and more chance of getting mixed up in someones accident!

And so more chance of track day disruption!

I would only go for trackdays organised by Easy Track or Book A Track as they are excelent at supervising participants

So next trackday for me MAY be Cadwell Park with Easy Track in Feb but more likely to be a patch of tarmac in Germany

Assuming I get a car sorted in time after return to the UK

Don't knock all trackdays organised by the track owners - the ones at Castle Combe are excellent and last year got my best days tracking (except the Ring trips of course !) at one of these - good value as had 7 x 20mins sessions, compared to the normal 15 mins sessions. Also quality of cars and drivers attending was very good

You are right H, CC tend to be well organised and I have done three trackdays linked to jap cars/jap sports cars but at one of them they let a lunatic out in a Repsol escort and he was wild and dangerous to say the least - intimidating and forcing his way around the track!

We may be lucky this year and have a decent Feb, you never know.

Who have you booked Cadwell with Heath/Jane? :inquisiti

And what about a CVR4 presence at an Anglesey track day?

Track is frequently used by Book A Track (BaT) and IMOC/MR2 go there and it is the 5th Gear test track and by all reports it is a fun track

It's a bit of a trail but could be worth a w/e in The Principality - dates available through the year with BaT

For me it would also be a return to the land of my fathers, well no actually, it would be a return to the land of my grandfather

I would not be in a VR-4 I am afraid but it would be nice to meet up with a few familiar faces

How about it?

Sorry - haven't booked this one (was to be with the Easytrack) - too far north to go and risk it in February me thinks :embarasse
