modified torque converter?

i am sure if you looked hard enough and rang/emailed the correct companies then you would find them.

I have not heard of any here, but I do know the DSM crowd use them. not sure if they are the same Torque Converters, but hey could be.

Do a google search on it. Try use the word DSM or some such. better still, go to a DSM site and search.

I saw a time slip on one of the DSM sites where some guy did under 8seconds in an auto, I would assume that he had a high stall converter.
