Right, ive been noticing a sort of clanking loose metal hitting metal sound when i hit a bump in the road or a cats eye on the motorway. doesnt happen everytime but it still happens. i thought it was the splash stone guard thingies behind the brake disks, not them. i think ive found it though, the brake caliper is in two pieces eh, the bit that gopes over the outside and the bit that holds the pads. turns out three of the outer holding on whatsits are a bit loose. its just been in for a service and theyve got that bronze brake greese gunk all over them. just curious if this is normal, vaguely normals or im effed and have to put it in the air and take everything to pieces. if i do have to play bob the mechanic, anyone have anything like this before ? and is it an easy job getting the caliper whatsits whodackies off?
