View Full Version : Differences between sport and elegance?

Ok I'm getting a new car and have decided on a galant. The estate or saloon is still in debate (so is a vr4 /Hmmm ) but one thing I can't find out is the exact differences between the sport and elegance V6.

Is the suspension and engine exactly the same? and is it only cosmetic and creature comforts the difference between to 2 models?

the sport has the vr4 body kit,momo steering wheel and gear shift

One is the sport the other elegance. In all honesty I can't see a difference. /duh

Ok according to parkers (thanks mu) there is a few hp and slight torque difference. Does anyone know if the suspension is the same 'cos I may just go for the elegance and the leather rather than a few hp.

One is the sport the other elegance. In all honesty I can't see a difference. /duh

The quick answer is that the Elegance had leather as standard rather than it being an option, and the centre console could be either I-cant-beleieve-its-not-titanium or I-cant-believe-its-not-wood.

That's about it.

Mmm, 3 hp and they call it a sport? /Hmmm Still, I'll plum for the I-can't-believe-it's-not-titanium look either way. :thumbsup:

they are both the same - it was badge engineering.

leather was not standard until 2003 - my old V6 sport was actually an "elegance" - was on the log book but the badges on the car were "sport"

I believe the bhp and the torque are the same for both (161bhp) also.
