Does anyone have a factory manual for their car in english? I'm sposed to be getting one from the dealers and if you dont and would like one I will go through the lengthy process of scanning the pages and making it into a PDF if anyones interested. Or I can photocopy it and send it through

Hopefully it will be here soon...

Sorry i cant do that or I would...I look after some network security for them.

If I get really bored I got to our ADSL connection and reverse hack people....just dont tell my boss :nono:

When I get the Manual I'll scan it in and PDF it. Might see if I can be bothered doing it in a webpage too. Might be a nice addition to the site.

Has anyone got a mole inside a mitsi dealership who could smuggle out a VR4 CD ROM and bootleg it to the rest of us. No questions asked....honest...
They must exist eh?
Ford dealers had them for the Sierra & Escort cosworths and if you knew the right people you could get them.
Haynes manual type Mitsi info seems VERY hard to get.

Theres a site http://www.jpnz.co.nz which is where I got mine from sell the owners manual for $50NZD and I think they can even do a translation service for workshop manuals as they have them there for Skylines

My car goes in to have a service soon, should be this Friday but their mechanic is sick or summit. :INSERT INTO post VALUES ( should give me time to enjoy my kidneys before I have to sell them to pay for the service.
If I remember I'll see what they have to say regarding manuals..

Mark,
while your car is in for service perhaps you could ask about the cost / availability of the factory service manuals.
Being the pessimist , I suspect you'll get the "only available to official dealers, mate" answer, although there was a recent UK legislative ruling that manufacturers must now make official service manuals available to non-franchised or unofficial dealers / workshops.

However, the ruling didn't specify a cost limit for this disclosure, so it is thought that the manufacturers will simply side-swipe this ruling by making the manuals extraordinarily expensive. Still worth asking though.

If I was still on speaking terms with my ex father-in-law INSERT INTO post VALUES ( :arse: ) he would probably be able to get one.......but probably not in a legit way.......he used to have a whole collection of dealer ink stamps that had fallen into his pocket whilst he had his cars serviced, he then serviced the cars himself cheaply and stamped up the service book with a nice dealer stamp. :nono:
A lovely row of service stamps in the book gives a new buyer a warm feeling, but how often do people actually check up on the service history when really all the stamps in the book could be bull****? He did this for years, I'm sorry to say.

I guess it's of no surprise for you to find out that when I've bought cars since, I ALWAYS check out a couple of the service stamps by calling the garage identified on them. Beware all

I'll certainly see what they can offer.
Like you say about costs, dread to think what magic figure they could pull out of thin air for it.
