Hi guys i'm looking at buying the 97-98 VR-4 Galant and want to take it to the max and want to know just how far i can take this thing out Performance wise All internals max turbo's ecu intercooler (trans lock possiblly) injectors manifold etc. you all get the idea bassically i want around 600 BHP if i can manage it any help would be greatly appreciated thanks heaps Guys and Gals.

First of all make sure you get the manual gearbox and a very serious clutch.

To get to that level of power you will need to forge and balance the internals, change to turbos to something like GT28RS's and of course go with all the supporting mods like fuel pump, fpr, big intercooler, intakes, new turbo piping, etc etc.

I remember in a thread somewhere that Marcus posted that the crank is quite strong (though not sure of the limits), but that the con-rods are the weak link - in the UK, he was quoted £1500 for a set of forged steel H-beam ones.

Why not just buy HKS or Tomei forged rods and pistons from Nengun?

theres plenty info in the search option, although hardly anyone has ever gone for it and done forged inarrds.
