That's looking nice.

Has it affected your insurance costs?

The VR-4 spoiler makes a huge difference! all you need is the front bumper from a VR-4 and no one would know the difference. :)
Very nice mate.

I have a second hand Sport bumper (complete with 2 working front fogs) and one sport sidesill (also second hand) put aside for me so far (for £100 quid!) , i need a rear bumper lip which is availible from advan GB which apes the VR4 rear bumper , one sport sidesill and a grille and then It will be a sport replica for peanuts!! As for insurance , welll...ill let you know when i actually buy the car...ive had it for months but have signed nothing yet!!! I know the family who own my dealer so they said just take it away just now....officially its still a courtesy car!!!!:D

HI DMAC,
great pics!...did you say you had some bumper bits or side skirts available?... I was after a rear VR4 looking bumper trim and coloured mud flaps. Did u say Advan GB do them? if so whats their contact details?...would like to follow that up.

Zedy , its just worked fine for me , maybe TGC was down earlier?

STA the rear trim for the 97-99 galant from advan Gb is basically just the lower 'lip' of the sport rear valance that you can fit to the earlier car's back end and it saves buying a whole new bumper. Part no is 98-gal-vr0002 and Advan GB are on 0116 262 1070.

Cheers.

Cheers Zedy
Parts ive got so far:Sport front bumper (2nd hand) , spotlights for said bumper (both secondhand); towing eye cover for bumper , grille and lower mesh grille (all bought new). 1 set of sideskirts from Galant acessories brochure are on order (heres a little tip if you fancy these skirts , buy them from the acessory book , NOT singly using the sport/elegance part no...singly they are 345 quid EACH plus vat , the set is 320 INC VAT! ..and they are identical parts...crazy!) On monday I will order the rear apron from advan so thats all the bits i need for the bodykit. Other things on the list are a V6 sport/elegance rear silencer (to fill the hole a bit better!) and the new spec rear lights/indicators and side repeaters. Hopefully it will all be done by the spring and it will look about 5 yrs newer than it really is! (from the outside anyways!)

Zedy
You mean the VR4 plastic arches? Im not putting them on , i think the track of my car is narrower than the 4WD Vr4 and i dont fancy spacing the wheels out to fill them.

PS where did u get ur rear lights? are they US spec altezzas? and if so do u get pulled every 5 mins for them?

yes they are us version and they fit almost 100% the only thing need changing is the wiring as the plugs are different and you need to install orange bulbs. they fitment for the bulb was different and i had to get the bulb specially made cost me £20.00 for 10 bulbs. and im pretty sure the v6 sport has these arches too

The V6 Sport doesnt have the VR4 arches - everything else is the same INSERT INTO post VALUES (apart from the twin fogs) Sport has a single unit
