It's a lovely blue, take it from me that it'll be a pig to keep clean. The bus was a similiar colour and it was a mothert to clean ans showed every little scratch, even swirls from a car wash.

All the best with it tho mate :thumbsup:

yep - probably a stop gap to getting a leggie, time to run something hugely impractical for a wee while!!! I aint going anywhere just yet! :thumbsup:

looks the same as my previous v6 sport indigo blue (although this is moonlight blue), just an excuse to clean an polish on a sunday!

story so far;

Manual GPX (mivec), 76K, longlife twin / quad exhaust, cone airfilter.

collected it from Bridgewater, somerset on sat, drove it 6.5hrs and 450 miles home.

1st impressions of FTO v's V6 Galant;
Galant;
quick, smooth, refined, comfortable, spacious, every extra you could imagine, mile muncher

FTO
Raw, noisey (love the Mivec, exhaust booms at 3000rpm), quick - feels slightly quicker than galant, just enough space for the kids, gets admiring looks from joe public, did surprisingly well coming home 1 stop after 370 miles (burstin for a P) quite comfortable

not sure TBH, prev owner said 29 - 32mpg which would be nice!!!

Fuel guage is wildly inaccurate (300 miles on quarter of a tank - i dont think so!!)

It showed half a tank when i bought it, I filled up (£34) at the 1st pertol station i found on my way home, managed 370 miles before reserve flicked for 5 secs, so i put another £20 in just to make sure.

It should do 400 miles before hitting reserve (light constantly on) and 420 - 450 miles to empty, it supposedly has a 70l tank.

I'll fill her up a few time and note the mileage to work out a true mpg

70l tank is huge. Never heard of the japs fitting one that big before. Would be nice to not need a petrol station so often though.

so it's half as thirsty as a VR4 then. What a nice feeling.

so far from the FTO site, it seems there are a few GPXs with 70l tanks, but this is not been confirmed by Mitsi

hoping mpg will be as good as the Galant, or as near as poss, as long as its more than 25mpg without old lady driving style

I like it too, the engine bay pic makes me wonder just how those guys managed to get a 6a13tt in there.

If you have any plans to sell your mivec heads - let me know! ;)

I once witnessed my dad getting 86l into the shogun.

Mind you, his beamer has a 95 litre tank...

a blue manual one from Mo? I quite fancied it too, but decided i wanted something other than a galant for a wee while, just for a change.

I once managed to get nearly 30mpg with motorway/A roads from Wales back to Norfolk with average speeds at about 80 (GPX manual). Usually got mid to high 20's. Was a shock when i started filling up my old VR4 on a very regular basis!! The skyline sits somewhere in between unless i turn the boost up and put my foot down!!
