View Full Version : Turbo Kit for the V6

Alas my funds are not permissive of this at the moment, but I've been trawling on another forum and discovered that an American company called "Tearstone" make a turbo kit for the V6 Galants. Hopefully this will be of interest to everyone, the general opinion seemed to be that the kit was very good...

Which Flavour of Galant V6? It's not a turbo Kit for the US-Spec Galant is it? (This uses the 6G72, not the 6A12 & 6A13).

Kieran is probably right, the 6A13 isn't used over there, they have an I4 2.4, and a V6 3.0 (or is it a 3.8 now?)

The other thing to consider is that your auto gearbox probably wouldn't cope that well with that amount of power, and if yours is only front wheel drive then you are going to have even more problems. You could trade your car and get a VR-4?

Good point - the F4A42 is known for shearing it's torque converter turbine and shaft splines with a standard engine, so more torque would be bad news!

Yeah saw some in the states before my own conversion, 'fraid they're not for our engine.
