for reference, stockcar over on MLR does a deal on ferodo ds2500's - I paid £135 delivered for my last set of fronts (brembo flavour).

Derek/wouter, there was a recent thread on a good place to buy EBC bits - can't remember exactly what it was about, and I'm surfing on my pda, so you'll have 2 have a hunt.

I'd be interested to see how you think a set of redstuff pads compares to the DS2500's...

As you know Bern, I rave about the Red Stuff Ceramics matched with the Turbo Groove Discs.. I no i haven't got the Blembo's, and thats mainly the reason why i haven't as i've found they are that good.
I've gone for the Yellow Stuff this time though.. Thought i's give them a try as they will take an extra 50 degrees + of heat over the Red Stuffs.

We really need to sort out a g-tech group test for braking. As soon as I get a free dry weekend, I'm going to do some stops with my car (front brembo's, DS2500 squealers, std rears). Then I'm going to fit my rear brembo's and do the same. It would be nice to get similarly tyred cars with EBC, nationals etc to do the same, and we can get some proper answers.

I never ran nationals/EBC, but going from std to brembos was eye-popping... :o

Best 60mph-0mph achieved with Red Stuff Ceramices and EBC TGD was 102ft that was on my 10th of 10 consecutive 0mph-60mph-0mph runs. The 1st one was 120ft..

Right. I'm toddling off to the brakes forum to start a new thread for this info. Post your results there in a couple of minutes...?

I though 765 was the pad shape? I'm sure Ferodo FDB 765 is the standard VR4 pad?

Of course I have been completely wrong before!
