following on from this thread!

yeas they were a B*****d to get off. spent almost an hour and a have getting them off. needed new bearing and as you will all know, come with the hub carrier. bolt was seized and stripped the end of the cv joint. so had to replace the driveshaft cv joint and hub carrier. ( Some man is mo) :2thumbsup :2thumbsup :2thumbsup BUT did anyone have trouble putting the hub carrier back on?? the 2 lower arm bolts that attach to the hub carrier kept turning? anyone else have that problem??

and for all you boffins out there, can you see anything missing from the driveshaft?? car is a 2.0 GL. :thinking: :thinking:

Those two lower arm bolts are the ball joints, which is why they kept turning. You can use a ball joint splitter to get some tension into the bolt while you do up the nut, or a jack underneath them sometimes helps.
