Red One (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-MITSUBISHI-LEGNUM-VR-4-AUTO-Estate-TWIN-TURBO-evo_W0QQitemZ4623886708QQcategoryZ18230QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem)

This is the Legnum I wanted but couldn't afford last year, IIRC it was around £8K from Newera, but was an absolute minter, lots of extra bits (coilovers, 18" alloys, side airbags, moonroof, tan leather) of course i'm happy with the super, but if only...

For anyone looking this would be an absolute steal, if you can get it for £5K and it's not been abused. For further info search for Newera and my name, i'm sure i've posted more than three links to the original Newera listing for this car

That is a very nice one indeed, but I would prefer the super vr-4 :)

Yeah I really like that one as well, although I think Newera had it on their site after I'd got my saloon.

quite a different look to most of the uk cars, red for a start, which makes it stand out, I like the lowered big wheel look. Ride could be a bit harsh, and I haven't got the money anyway. I've never seen the control screen in situ, it would be worth learning japanese for. Actually I've got the carbon fibre centre console and it really is completely different, the small climate control is set in and there is a double din for the radio, was this different to the one on pre facelifts or was carbon a ralliart uk spec?

Carbon is just different trim to the others. If a car had MMCS you have different bits cut out of it, but in both pre and post facelift cars the centre console is the same.

Gary,

He'll change his mind when it won't sell. Ask if he still has the original wheels for it too, as Newera sold them with the car.

No mileage given....?

Nice-lookin car, but he paid far too much for it.

I think the wheels and coilovers add a certain premium to the car, but depending on mileage, condition and what bits are with it i.e. standard wheels, FSH etc £5500 isn't a bad compromise.

I just offered him £5250, and he is only 4 miles up the road from me, might stretch too £5500 if i can sell some of my car parts i hvae here sat around, no rush at the moment /help

This is the car that got me interested in Legnums last year on New Era's site but again was a tad overpriced then. Deserves to sell though.

... it was a free-listing weekend on eBay - I guess that's why it's relisted.

The ad text says he's just got a new company car - but if you look at his 'other items' he's selling a Celica, two Polos, and a Supra - clearly a trader!

So I wouldn't pay him retail to get that door fixed - he'll only pay a trade price for the fix...

There's no mileage on the ad - or service history. Newera sold it at 51k miles - I wonder what it is now, and what service history comes with it? A 12 month MOT ain't a lot of comfort on these VR4s!

Reading his feedback, I'd be verycareful buying from this fella - frankly the less time & mileage he's had with the car, the better!

good combination with colour, wheels, ride height and exhaust...

Smugness from red Legnum owner with Enkei 6 spoke wheels to be fitted and chuffing great big Fujibuko ( Sp ??? ) exhaust. In fact mine is the same exhaust as the one on Ebay.

Lowering to follow when I have some money again.......

emailed him for info on mileage & history etc - here's the response;
"hi
the mileage is 55000 miles, so very low. It has all been converted to mph, sorry theres not a lot of history as it hasnt had a lot of work done to it. only mot, new tyre, the jap service history is still with the previous owner as i couldnt read it so i never took it. it really is a gem of a legnum, a real pleasure to drive. id never heard of it before i bought one but one test drive was all it took to convince me."

all i can say is i got a facelift ralliart leggie with fMsh, 1yr MoT, and some good mods for a lot less than this one.......

Guys guess what is sitting on my drive :afro: Yeah man.

I'm going to be sticking my private plate on there soon.

This is a replacement i've been after some idiot wrecked the wiring loom on my green one.
Yes it's taken a whole Year and a half to sort out the insurance claim for liability damage.

I found this one on autotrader, paid £5300
