I started the car up this morning and the ABS, AYC and TCL lights remained on, think it was TCL light was flashing. Car drove ok and got me to work, but am presuming these must be controlled by the same ecu? And if so its fried? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Stupid question, but where exactly are these sensors located?

if you put your car on full lock

you will see the drive shaft

follow the drive shaft down towards the wheel

just behind the hub Carrier you will find a disk with notches in it this is the sensor ring in line with this ring in the hub Carrier is the sensor

will look for a pic

Thanks for your help, I'll have a look tonight and give them a clean. I can't access this post.

I now have the ABS light off, so just AYC and TCL lights now on, AYC flashing. Checked sensors and they look fine. One important point is that the lights come on as soon as I start the car.

Try resetting your ECU - battery negative disconnected for a minute or two (you'll loose your gearbox training tho). Otherwise it's off to mitsi to get them to read the ECU for a clue...

Cough up the membership fee, and you'll be exposed to a world of wonderful information... including that post you can't access - it's beautiful I tell you ;)!

Now the ABS light is back on after a drive. I may just take it to the dealer and get them to find out whats wrong. I don't have the time at the moment to spend hours looking for a needle in a hay stack. I'll look at forking over some $$ for membership.

I've paid my membership, just waiting on activation to get some manuals as I have no idea what the accumulator pressure sensor is and the local dealer was very unhelpful, I even wonder of they know what it is.

If anyone can give me some info on this sensor, like where it is, what it looks like and I guess the main thing is what sort of money I could be up for. The local dealer couldn't even give me a quote as the guy I dealt with last week is away today.

Accumulator Pressure Sensor? And it affects the braking system or just the ABS?
