Sup!

Well, took it to get a WOF today. Besides silly things such as rear number plate lights not working (killed by vibrations from the boot) and missing the windscreen washer nozzles -forgot to put them on the carbon hood -LOL

I have been noted that my rear brake pads are worn.

Easy, went to Repco, bought some pads. Jacked the car up, pulled the wheel off, pulled the caliper off, changed pads, put the caliper back on -uhoh, caliper won't go back on. **** I forgot I had to push the piston back into the caliper.

Anyone got the right tool in Auckland that I can borrow for 1 hour? Please?

Now the steering rack boot, hmmm (front passenger side). Tell me where I could get this done, and an approx price please.

Hi Pal,

Can't help you with a garage to do the job obviously - but as to cost (in £ sterling)

I had a new tie rod & bellows fitted plus an oil change as follows:

Bellows kit = £5.76
Tie Rod = £49.00
Oil = £???

Labour total = £35.00

So guess just bellows at about £25.00 labour roughly?

Ok I went and did the replacement myself and made an article of it.

that would be a tie rod end, only cost yoy like $40ish from repco, not a hard job, but you will need an wheel alignment after.
