:2thumbsup I was close... very close... What was the ambient temp? its a pretty hot day today.

183, You must be pleased with that.

Was there any sign of the missfire this time?

And What did Osiris run?

That's about 240bhp at the wheels! So what it that at the flywheel then?:inquisiti

The dyno's over here don't guess the power at the engine, but if I had to guess I would say it would be around 235kw or maybe a little more.

I only got 130kw. No really, only 130kw. Seriously. lol.

A/F ratio = 10.1 the WHOLE dyno run. In fact it was lower than 10.1 but the meter could only read that low. lol. Robyn said to set the S-AFC to -10 throughout the rev range and it should be about right. Which is what I did and holy **** me does it make a difference.

So the whole time all that cutting was because there was too much fuel!

Kenneth, pm me your bank account details, $10 will be in there -sorry I was too dissapointed to stick around so I left in a hurry -I don't like cheating people out of their money so hurry up and pm me your details :P

I'll get pics and vids up later.

I'm keen for the next dyno shootout ;) I think I'm getting closer and closer ;)

Oh btw brad I tried calling you to say I didn't need the fuel rail and bits anymore but I couldn't get through to you :(

Sorry for not turning up last night!

Nah dude, didn't end up agreeing to put that $10 on the outcome, so dont worry about it :)

Just get the damn pics/video of my run up will ya! ;)

/edit: It was good for you to find out about your AFR problem though, in the end you will probably save in gas what it cost for the dyno :P

I would do as Robin suggested though, and get a standard air box and test it from there.

If need be, can set up another workshop day and ill pull my wide-band out and we can put it in your car to test your AFRs

Yeah, you were very close indeed!

Yes, I am very pleased. Especially that I am putting more power down than the Evo5.
No sign of missfire! Will have to see about seeing if I can hold any more boost. Seems to be a leak in my boost gauge hosing... which is why it only shows as just over 5psi on the graph.

Next step is fuel. If you look at the graph when OSiRiS posts it up, you will see I am running out of fuel at the top end... Nothing dangerous yet though :)

Osiris, not a problem at all, you just need to get a wideband O2 sensor now so you can play with your AFR ratios.

Kenneth, I think it might be your fuel pump, if you remember correctly Uc was completely starved of fuel at 198kw, but now he is up to 205kw without a problem.

Kenneth
01-04-2006, 11:03 PM
yep, am thinking that Brad. Looks like fuel pump and regulator are top of my list now :)

Still.... Stoked at beating the evo5 :D

Did I mention the evo5? Oh, ok... lol

Come on OSiRiS, movies and pics! Brad needs the pic of the dyno sheet for his graphing that he is doing. A brad?!

Has he sent you the first lot yet? If not you should at least get mine. The sheet he gave me on sat had my first run as a comparison anyway :)

Hey guys, just got back home. Been out since the dyno yesterday. So knackered. D-camera and memory stick at my mate's house. He dropping it off later tonight so pics will be up then :)

Kenneth -I owe you a $10 next time I see you :)

Also, how much did your wideband cost? And where from? I'm going to invest in one -I've already got the laptop part sorted :P

Cheers,
OSiRiS

the ironic part is that you made a double new thread today, and I made a double post earlier on as well :)

Kenneth, I'll definately work on it!

Deleted your duplicate post.
Wideband was $410. If you are going to tune, you need one.

I rekon, you should have had a bucket out the back so you could pour in back in, probably wasted a couple of bucks worth :afro:

183.3kw at the wheels :D

Thats impressive, congrats. Was wondering what boost you were running to make that?

Thanks

bout 10 - 10.5 I reckon. When they hooked up to the boost line, for some reason there was a leak, so the results on the dyno sheet are useless. but I get about 10 on the gauge and it also fits pretty well with the boost curve from the previous run.

I am still using the standard boost control, so a boost controller could be interesting

Yeh man, thats really good esp for 10psi.
