Some of you are going to recognise this one - it was on here for sale before christmas, it didn't sell and I managed to keep it for a few more months, but now it has to go.

1997 Mitsubishi Galant VR4 Type-S in white, with the INVECS II auto box. 6 months TAX. MOT till 09/06. Mileage is approaching 90K, with around 45K of which being in kilometres. For those not aware (all on here should know - shame on you if you don't), the VR4 has a 2.5litre V6 twin turbo, 4WD with AYC (active yaw control) similar to that seen on the Evo. 0-60 is seen in 5.9 seconds.

This car has all the usual refinements found in the VR4, with inside and out being in great condition. The climate control is still blowing out nice cold air with no wear to the seats (not leather), or interior.

Only 1 UK owner. Imported personally from Japan and owned for close to four and a half years now without it skipping a beat. All reciepts and documants available from SVA application up to recent service. The car is up to date on recall work from Mitsubishi - it has had the bottom arms replaced, and the ASC/brake system replaced and updated. It has also had its major service at 65K with all belts and fluids replaced.

The car is standard with the exception of Mitsu Evo 6 alloys (tyres are new - less than 1000 miles, alloys could do with a refurb, but are OK), some additional gauges and VR4 floormats. The bad points on the car are as follows; the bootmat is worn and looks a little shabby, a couple of small imperfections in the paint due to car parks and trolleys!

Other snippets of information you may want to know include; it was undersealed when imported; it is alarmed and immobilised with certificate; includes a Pioneer MP3 player (unless not required by new owner); the gearbox changes smoothly with no leaks, and I've had no issues with it - just kept it serviced.

Contact me with any comments or questions. Loads more photos available. The car is now sat resting due to arrival of its replacement... (insert crying smilie here!)

For sale for £4750 or make me an offer - serious ones please - no p/x, swap, scammers! No Saxos!!:5shots:

I'm about 120 miles south (by road) from Cambridge. I'm near Margate, have a look on Multimap.

Cool, this is what I found , http://multimap.com/map/aproute.cgi?client=public&lang=&rn=GB&input_rt=aproute_pan&startcountry=GB&startrd=&starttown=lakenheath&startpc=ip279pn&endcountry=GB&endrd=&endtown=margate&endpc=&qs=q&starttime=15%3A53

I have a question , would you take 7.2 thousand dollars or 4000 pounds?
Tonight Im going to call my military insurance company to ask them how much insurance would be on this car and a couple others I"ve been looking at , also Im going to go to my bank to ask them if I could borrow the money...

I like this car because its so much like the one I have back at home haha (cardomain.com/galant01es)

Please let me know what you think though, if you say yes to that offer I can get close with my bank..

Replied to your PM, saying your offer is too low - sorry.

Anyone else want to put a bid in?

Thanks Kieran, but I think I may be suffering from the 'cheap' '96 cars now being imported. There seems to be more up for sale now...

Mike

I am so gutted that this car is still for sale - I wanted to buy it when we changed the Prelude - but we couldn't justify a second VR4 :(

If I could convince him to sell the Supra, I'd still have it - but that isn't going to help you sadly!

I think they look great in white - someone buy it, please :2thumbsup

Just lay down the law to Heath and tell him to stop being such a ponce in his midlifecrisis-mobile.....

You know it makes sense Heath! It'll also get Jane off your case about breaking her car all the time!!:2thumbsup

Nice try K, but (even if H would entertain the idea, which he wouldn't) we would then have to sell or PX it - I am sure this lovely example of a VR4 will be long gone by then :2thumbsup

My bro is seriously considering a VR4 too, but he is in the process of buying a new house at the moment too so financially he can't afford it.....and like Jane said no doubt it will be long gone before he can.

Can't believe you've not sold it Mike, it's a stunner

Cheers guys. Its been on here, in Autotrader, and on the dreaded eBay but there has been no 'real' interest.

I'll just have to keep slogging away.
