Now sold

Company I bought my donor from had this:

http://www.tau-sales.com/defaultMall/sitemap/XTMyCarDetail-Used.jsp?GoodsNo=092961

Costs - YEN/GBP at todays rates

Car 155,000/£752
Inland delivery (Japan to docks) 30,000/£146
RO/RO charge 35000/£170
Yokohama to Liverpool 122,000/£592

So dockside Liverpool £1660

The Japanese costs are payable straight off, the sea freight on arrival.

Then 10% duty £166 makes £1826

And 17.5% VAT on that lot £319.55 to a total £2145.55

There might be misc. fees payable at the UK docks, I am not sure. That is if you do all the paperwork yourself, brokers will make a charge for sorting customs clearance for you if you don't want to do it yourself.

Then you have to get it SVAed, MOT and registered. No idea on any of that lot sorry, but I am sure it wouldn't be £500.

All the figures above are approximate and depend on JPY/GBP exchange rates but give some idea of the costs involved. Shipping Japan to Liverpool takes about 6 weeks, depending on space being available on the boat.

So for about £2.5K, a nice pearl white Legnum.....................

1997. SVA problems. But otherwise a foolproof plan!!

Doh !

Sorry, had to edit the post a bit as well as I screwed up the figures. Not enough fingers to work it all out properly.

Seems a honest looking and straight old girl though, bummer about the SVA.........
