i have a galant v6 24v v6 (and bloody nice it is too) it takes £40 to fill my tank and i get on average about 200 miles out of it.

can someone who has a galant vr4 (im guessing thats the twin turbo edtion) tell me how much it takes to fill a tank and how many miles you get to that tank..

thanks

About £52ish of Super Unleaded @0.93/l, and a similar amount of miles. On a long run (motorway all the way) I can see about 300 from a tank.

It used to be more, but recently, she's been a thirsty lady...

£46 of Super generally carries me 140 - 190 miles

Tbh there are loads of threads on this, would recommend a search. Youmust be driving that fairly hard, I'd like to see more than 200 miles from a tank on a V6 although at forty pounds it sounds like you have a bit left when you refill it.

this is going just inbetween the last 2 lines on the fuel gauge. i dont drive it to hard but i dont like driving miss daisy around either. i have a motorway trip coming up soon a 2 hour trip so i will see how she does.

i had an audi coupe before and i used to get about 230 miles from a £45 fill. and that was a 2.3l 10v

when i had the vr4 - full tank got between 170 -200 miles, on both v6's a full tank would get between 300 - 370 miles not exactly taking it easy.....

your v6 could be running rich or needing a tune up

Now that’s good ---- over 30 MPG – even the wife couldn’t do that (and she drives so slow we nearly go back in time when she drives) – I struggle to get more than 24 to the Gallon – less if I superglue a brick to my right foot

I now have an induction kit and run on super – I have also not reset the ECU since – not sure if this is a good thing or not. (if anyone can advise, that would be good)

In the long I think it depends on how you drive the car and how many mods you have

Min <5mpg, max >27mpg - average tank approx 230 to 250 miles.

The min mpg is on track, and the max was on a run across europe last August

ok so lets say my car is running a lil rich or it needs a tune up. can i tune it up myself or does it need to go to go in a shop? and what do i need to do if its running rich?

fully loaded, with family & hoilday kit, 22/22.5 mpg...
normal running, 25mpg - 300miles from fill up to running on air, from the Legnum's very-nearly 12 gallon tank .
I usually chicken out by 250 miles & head for gas
First car I've ever owned where I reset an odometer after every fillup.

This car really needs an 18 gallon tank.
