I bought some Legnum recaro seats, complete with rails off trademe. Good seats, but they are black on black.

My car has a red on black interior much like a Super VR-4, though it is not a Super VR-4. Can that precise red on black fabric be sourced from some place, so I can recover my Recaros? Is this fabric difficult to obtain? Does anyone have any idea? :speechles

I would imagine it would be difficult to obtain... I mean, where could you get the raw fabric from?

Yeah, they're super comfortable. I paid too much though - $600 for two front seats only! :o Haven't got any pics at the moment. They're pretty standard Legnum VR-4 recaros though. I am sure someone in the club has similar ones.

do they have RECARO stitched in blue on them? If they do then they are the standard recaro's from the 2001-2002 VR-4's.

In regards to retrimming them, it will probably be rather hard to do, unless you want to retrim the whole interior. I think it sounds like I have the same red and black trim pattern throughout the interior. Pics?

No RECARO is stitched in white.

Don't have any pics of the interior right now, but it's the same pattern as this leggie on trademe, except instead of the pattern being blue it is red.

I might get some car seat covers to hide my mismatch. Sheepskin maybe.

Yeah mine are the same pattern but in red too.

Haven't heard of the recaro being in white before, what car did you get them from?

The listing on trademe said they were taken out of a VR-4 Legnum. I have no idea what the year of the donor car was. They fitted my car though.

ahh ok cool then. You could colour them yellow/green to match your dash :P

I just went to my car to get something. The word RECARO is actually in grey stitching, not pure white like I imagined. My bad.
