View Full Version : Cruise to Wellsford 23rd April

Kenneth

"Cruise" is going to be on the 23rd of April.

Times can be discussed in this thread, as meet points.

The final meet point will be partly dependant on the time of day that the cruise departs. (available parking)

Route: Those who went last time will know the route. We do as last time and stop at the dairy flat turn-off so people can relieve themselves and talk about the cool drive :)

If you hijack this thread, I will delete your post! so be warned :)

If you want to see what happened with the last one, check out this (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8617&highlight=wellsford+run) thread.

Im not far from the end of the northwestern, so it would be good if you could make a stop somewhere like westgate shopping centre (probably won't get any parks tho) or somewhere for us non-south types to meet up.:afro:

At this stage i should be going.

Kenneth

Final meet point will be something like Northcote Road (Golf course lower car park)

What you folks want to do on the other side of the bridge is up to you, but this time I will sleep in as long as possible :) (northcote being just down the road)

What time are you thinking about for the final meet at Northcote road?

bradc

haha yes, 9:30-10:00 meet at greenlane, meet at taka at 10:30, leave at 11.

That way we won't have to rush between meeting points and we will get to Wellsford in time for lunch.

Ok, well it will take approximatly 30 minutes from departure to get through riverhead/coatsville... Depends somewhat on the traffic.

I assume you know what layby I am talking about? just right (if you come across dairy flat) of the intersection that gets you onto higway 16. Just a couple of meters in fact. I think thats from dairy flat... lol

No plans for anything at wellsford, people usually just talk about how cool the drive was, then go into town and grab a bite to eat. :P
If you have any reccomendations, go for it... Thing is that usually people dont want to spend money because they just used all their spare $$ on gas.

Now that I've looked at the list of who's going, it looks like I should just go striaght to Foodtown and skipout Gull.

M_B_N's carless due to his clutch, so I'll pick him up from home, however, by the time we get to Foodtown he will most likely want to change cars (He doesn't like my Eric Clapton CD's for some reason).

See you guys on Sunday.
My mobile is 0275 417 332.

As usual it was just me and KiwiTT who returned down highway 16 also, but it was a good drive.

Thanks to all that came along, and Brad who didn't freak out ;)

everyone apart from that poor sparrow! I'll start a picture thread soon, but it will take me a while to upload the photo's as usual

Big thanks goes out to Kenneth and Richard for being my drivers, the way you two drive around corners is entertaining and I'm sure Richard got a lot of it on video :)

It might be an idea to get it uploaded into the members video section, it contains at least 50 minutes of evidence - maybe we should have removed your rear numberplate

KiwiTT

Not yet. It was a quicker run then Piha, so there should be more speed noticable the engine noise will be more audible. None of the music. Leasson learn't after the first one. Some of the conversation will warrant members only access.

there are "legal" issues other than that... just do the math (distance / time) :P

um, its a good thing that the frame rate was halved and then the video sped up eh? ;)
