P345 *** - followed you for a bit today, looked like you didn't want to play. Probably a good idea as your rear right wheel was wobbling like hell - badly buckled, loose or a very dodgy tyre.
First VR4 i've seen in the last year!

Nice one - so what's the spec of the VR4, how long have you had?
I was in an Audi A6 Avant (silver) so you probably ignored me:zzz: - to be honest, there was no playing to be done, I came up behind you in traffic just off Burnaby rd, and at the A444 you went one way and I went another.
Keep an eye out though when i'm in the LCR, it eats VR4s :pimp2:  :5shots: :scholar: /pan /Grrr  :baby:

I've had it a couple of weeks, Full stailess exhaust with decat, HKS air filter, GBF deceptor dump/recert valve and 18inch rims. Order my guages and boost control too but not here as yet. Whats LCR sorry if thats a silly question

Whats done to your seat to make it so fast then? My misses has a brand new seat to teach in, she's a driving instructer, nice motors.

It's a Leon Cupra R - 210 bhp standard. Well set up, 2WD, so no big transmission losses (and no traction from standstill!), 323mm Brembo 4-pots - 6.5secs to 60, 150mph, it's pretty quick, and it stops well.

Sounds like a race for my golf mk1. has 190bhp no interior, no weight, no heating, Carpets, back seats an no traction at all. Takin both to avon park monday if you fancy popping down. we have a few cars going, I'm takin just 2 of mine the Golf and VR-4

Is it a RWYB?
I love Mk1 Golfs - had one years back, the 1.6 gti, 1981 model.

Think i've seen that parked up. Fair play. I am thinking of a track day car at the minute, considered a golf, would be interested to hear how much it's cost you in all. I am probably only going to spend a grand on something, hopefully already with cage.
How much is the RWYB? I may be up for that, depending on weather.

The golf has also been my daily driver for last 6months, cost me a little under £3000 to get built up. I know of another mk1 in cov with a cage (I think)
and a mk2 16valve motor in it wanted £800 for it but I know he'd take less. It's £20.00 to race and £12 or 15 to get in so about £35 for the day.

Might be interested in that Mk1 - do you have any more details?
Is that £20 unlimited runs? If it's a nice day may take the family - sister in law lives round the corner from you, she has a black Civic Type R,they might take that too.

How did you get on then? Saw you again today - your numbers still chalked on the rear windscreen - came flying up behind you up to the 444 roundabout - beeped and flashed, but then went the other way to you.

I took it faily easy but was pleased with a 14.2 second quarter mile and I've also managed a 4.9 0-60 but still had more but not pushing her too hard until i've had cam belt changed and a good service. not sure where to take it /help

Sulli

Service - DIY for most of it i'd say. though cambelt is probably beyond most people's DIY.
I used Oak tree a bit with mine, they were OK (ish), but as always main dealers are pricey.
Try Ledbrookes in Barker Butts Lane - speak to Wilf, say Stuart sent you - not sure if he's done a cambelt on a VR4 before, but after all it's just a car, and I would highly recommend them.

my uncles one of the mechanics at ledbrooks, hence don't wanna take it there lol! Not sure about getting the diff oil changed heard I should get this done?

Sulli

Whose that then, Roy?
Oak Tree did my AYC and ATF, checked the diff for £65 if I remember rightly. I had told them to change diff oil but they said it was still OK??
If it's a new car, definately do the AYC, and probab;ly the ATF and diff too.
