I'm going to be in Manchester for the long weekend at the end of April any one fancy a mini meet ?

Sad as this may seem, but that's when the A380 is coming to manchester, so will probably be out on the moors to see it on its downwind leg and turn onto long final assuming the wind to be out of the west (which is 95% of the time at MAN). Any other aviation fans are welcome to join me.

i went to the vewing park once as my wife had bought me tickets to go onboard concorde

when we arrived at the car park i could hear loads of radios, and people had these handsets with the pilots talking on them..

I will be up in the Sale area for the whole weekend so it does not have to be the Sat .

I once spent an entire afternoon at the viewing area measuring noise (well it was better then working )

Was a rather short notice meet, although discussed for a while, i forgot about it completely (and I wasn't the only one), that was until Johns wee reminder earlier this morning.

Half expecting only John, myself and Fay there, it was a rather nice suprise to have such a large turn out.

First things first, a pint!.. where we talked the normal banter. I had to take Fay back to her mothers for 4, and while I was away everyone decided to take a walk around the water park :vogel: Upon my return we headed for Didsbury, some... slower than others /lol eh, wouter? :p

We enjoyed a nice meal at the Didsbury, while the Richy's ate their starter.. 30 minutes later, still no main course... shortly after the waiter arrived stating that because the plates were taken in by Lorraine they were not aware they had finished their starter... but, sir... they were taken in because we were still sitting there 30 minutes later! muppet..

Anyhoo, with a finishing coffee at mine, that ended a suprisingly pleasant saturday afternoon!

Thanks again to everyone, i enjoyed my self!

Yes I saw the latest performance mod on your car - weight saving to the extreme - taking 0.1 mm slice from one of the spokes just to make it faster ;)
